Last Thursday, the OneLove Club at Fallston held a volleyball tournament to raise money for the OneLove Foundation. The gym was full of energy and competition as teams tried to win the charity event. Managing to make over $300 dollars from the event, all proceeds went towards the OneLove Foundation and their goal of making healthy relationships possible for everyone.

OneLove was formed in honor of Yeardley Love who was a victim of domestic abuse and was killed by her boyfriend in 2010. Her family started the foundation to help young people tell the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships. The foundation hopes to educate people before a toxic relationship turns violent.

Kyleigh O’Mailey, a teen ambassador for the foundation, first discovered OneLove after competing in the foundation’s lacrosse tournaments. Her and fellow club leader Elise Buckler decided to start the OneLove Club at Fallston in order to provide the resources OneLove offers and spread awareness on how to differentiate healthy and unhealthy relationships. O’Mailey says the club wants to show “how important it is to form healthy relationships in all [types]: family, friends, boyfriends, and girlfriends.”
