Do you want a way to burn all those Thanksgiving calories? Well, come and join Fallston Lacrosse at their 2nd annual Turkey Day Shootout, on Friday, November 29. The event will take place from 10 AM-2 PM, at Fallston High School. It is open to boys and girls of all ages, as well as adults. To register, you can click this link: go.teamsnap.com/forms/451747, or go to @fhscougarslax on Instagram to register as well. The cost is $40 per player.
The competition for this event will be played in a “Speed Lacrosse” (3 v. 3) format. For those who don’t know much about speed lacrosse, it is played with smaller goals, no equipment except for your lacrosse stick, and tennis balls. Girls and boys can join the field together and have fun playing the game they bond over.
There will be four amazing hours of fun. Lacrosse games will be divided into four groups based on age: the Elementary Division (1st-5th), from 10-11 AM; the Middle Division (6th-8th), from 11-12 PM; the High Division (9th-12th), from 12-1 PM; and the Adults (any age), from 1-2 PM.
This event is part of the One Program movement that Fallston Lacrosse is trying to bring into their sporting events. It allows boys and girls lacrosse players from Fallston Rec and Fallston High School to join together and become One Program. Mr. Mull, the Fallston High Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach, said that this event is to “make kids feel like they are a part of something more than just their team.” Rec players can learn and develop from high school players, to become the next generation of Fallston lacrosse players.
So, bring your lacrosse sticks and thankful spirits to the Fallston lacrosse Turkey Day Shootout and have a day full of excitement.
