On Thursday, February 6th, Sports for Life held its annual bowling event. It was a great day full of friends, pizza, and fun. Fallston High School had over ten members attend, and they even placed top 5 in the area.
In case you didn’t know, Sports for Life is a program where individuals with IDD (Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities) are brought together with peers at various HCPS schools to play games, sports, dance, and have some fun.

“My experience at Sports for Life was fantastic!” says member Bryanna Krowe. “I had such a great time with the strive buddies!” Krowe and the rest of the members of Sports for Life went to Forest Hill Lanes to bowl against various schools from both Harford and Baltimore County.
“The Atmosphere was fun and lively,” said member, Mayowa Omoyeni, “[and] I plan to continue in the future! Bowling is such a fun and social activity, and events like these are perfect for staying active, and meeting new people.”
According to Mayowa, one memorable moment was “when Langston managed to get three strikes in a row—we were all so excited and just couldn’t stop high-fiving each other! It was a great reminder of how sports can bring people together and create lasting memories.”

All in all, Sports for Life held a fantastic event. All of the members that went came back with nothing but great things to say about the club. A big thank you goes out to all the staff and students that set aside the time to make events like this possible. Hopefully next year, there’ll be even more attendees there to make great memories and have fun.
