On Wednesday, March 26, students had the exciting opportunity to attend a job fair held at Swan Creek School. This event provided them with a chance to engage directly with local businesses, learn more about various industries, and explore potential career paths. Students were able to bring their resumes and hand them directly to employers, giving them a chance to showcase their skills and achievements, as well as make strong first impressions. By participating, students could begin to familiarize themselves with the opportunities available in their community, develop meaningful connections, and even discover possibilities for apprenticeships that could kickstart their professional journeys.
The job fair featured a wide variety of businesses, each presenting unique career opportunities across different industries. STEM-focused careers were a highlight, showcasing fields like aerospace and nuclear engineering, with more specialized areas of science and technology. First Responder roles also were a significant interest among the students, showcasing jobs such as firefighting and law enforcement. Students were able to learn more about multiple industries and explore the meaningful impact these careers have on society through experienced professionals.
