The first of many senior traditions took place in the den this past Tuesday September 9th with Senior Sunrise to commemorate the start of the class of 2026’s final year of high school. Seniors arrived at 6:30 a.m. bearing breakfast, blankets, and cute signs for pictures.
While the sky wasn’t super vibrant, the weather was overall cooperative with no rain and little to no clouds. As for the climate, it felt like a crisp fall morning – perfect sweater weather if you ask me.
Following the help of Mr. Collins directing our A-day students on where to park, many first made their way to the football field where everyone took the time to chat with friends and take pictures to capture the long-lasting memories before their final year.
After all the photo ops, students then headed over to the courtyard, located right outside the cafeteria, to enjoy breakfast, including bagels, donuts, fruit, and more. A number of students pitched in to provide a surplus of food that turned out to be an amazing spread. Senior Brooke Bolesta woke up early from her night spent in the Fallston volunteer firehouse to make pancakes for her & her friends. “It was definitely worth it to have breakfast with all of them,” she says.
Aside from Senior Sunrise, there are a number of events many seniors are looking forward to. Class president, Alexa Wilson, says she is “looking forward to spirit week and homecoming as it is next up on [her] agenda.”
Bolesta mentions she is most looking forward to her basketball season because “[the team] is all very close this year and hangout a lot so the bond is great!” Whereas senior Jenny Phillips shares she has her eyes on the finish line saying, “I am looking forward to graduation.”
Nonetheless, I think I can speak for everyone in saying we are all looking forward to an amazing year and cannot wait to see what the school year holds. As a friendly reminder, seniors, make sure to be checking your emails regularly so you don’t miss out on any more senior traditions to come.
