Fallston High recently held its annual club rush to feature different clubs we offer here at FHS. Whether you’re interested in STEM, fashion, activism or community service, chances are there’s a club for you. Here’s a dive into some of the clubs offered at our school.
Cougar Closet:
Cougar Closet is a creative extension of our school newspaper, The Print, dedicated entirely to pop culture and fashion trends. Members have the freedom to explore their interests by writing magazine-style articles, modeling, photographing, editing, and designing eye-catching covers for each feature. Led by seniors Brynn Seymour and Matilda Blouin, Cougar Closet offers a low-commitment opportunity to get involved, meeting just once a month and publishing new content about once per season.

Girl Up:
Girl Up is a youth-led global movement founded by the United Nations Foundation that empowers young people to become changemakers for gender equality. The organization offers valuable opportunities to develop leadership skills, gain advocacy experience, and earn service hours. Fallston High’s own Girl Up club made a strong impact in 2021, winning a fundraising award and successfully meeting goals for both the Global 5K and the HarCo Women’s Drive. This year, club president Madelynn Lorden is seeking new officers, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary, to help in Fallston’s fundraising efforts and bring fresh energy to the club’s mission. Girl Up plans to meet every other Tuesday with its first meeting on October 14th in room 115.

World Language Clubs
Fallston High School offers three world languages—Spanish, French, and German—and each comes with its own vibrant club open to all students. Whether you’re studying the language or simply curious about the culture, you’re welcome to join the Spanish Club, French Club, or German Club—or even all three! Each club dives into the unique traditions, customs, and lifestyles of its language-speaking regions through fun, hands-on activities. Members enjoy events like cooking and tasting cultural dishes, playing themed games, and celebrating international holidays. Best of all, no language class enrollment is required—just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm!
