The sixth-highest-grossing film of all time, passing both Avengers: Infinity War and Titanic, is many people’s summer favorite – Top Gun: Maverick. The sequel to the 1986 classic, Top Gun , has become the hit movie of 2022. Released in May, the movie continues to break box office records in theaters and on streaming services. Starring Tom Cruise and Miles Teller, the movie has gone viral over social media these past few months, earning itself a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Movie. Claire Musser, a junior at Fallston, “loves this movie so much, and has seen it six times in theaters.” With a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and earning over 1.3 billion US dollars, the movie has had an incredible amount of success and created a huge following. If you’re one of the few who hasn’t seen it, get your tickets in theaters now or stream on Amazon Prime or Apple TV.
