Emma’s Hot Takes

Spring is the worst season

If you are expecting me to apologize for hating a season that is full of rain, humidity, and inconsistent temperatures, I wouldn’t hold your breath because it’s not coming. Spring is hot, but also cold; sunny, but also extremely rainy; and pretty, but also extremely boring. Yes, the tulips and daffodils are nice coming out of the cold and dry winters that Maryland has, but the climate and inconsistency has unfortunately sworn me off from being a spring-lover. #summerforthewin

The Perks of Being a Wallflower movie is not good

It’s boring. It’s plain. Nothing happens. Time is precious so don’t waste it on this movie. So many people rave about this movie, and I simply don’t understand it. I watched it a while ago and I specifically remember feeling bored since nothing happened in the first hour and a half. I didn’t understand the story nor how the movie was so good that people absolutely loved it. Granted, I haven’t read the book, but the movie was simply not it.

Strawberries are one of the worst fruits

Most of the time, strawberries are bruised and bad. Whether it’s mold or just mushiness, they only last for what feels like hours and are very hit-or-miss in terms of taste. And the few times that they aren’t bad, you have to be in a very specific mood to want to eat them. The only time strawberries are undoubtedly good is when they are covered in chocolate.

The Kissing Booth series is enjoyable

Go watch both of these movies and if after you still think they are bad, watch them again! Photo courtesy of Koimoi

Look, I get why these movies get so much hate, I do. They are somewhat cringy and the acting isn’t the best, but come on. The story is cute and so are the characters. Ever since the first movie came out, I have always enjoyed them. Same with To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. They are cute little romances that take me back to my middle school days, and I love them.
