A Big Fat “French” Wedding

Emma Callahan, Co-Editor-in-Chief

On Thursday, June 8, something special occurred in the auditorium at Fallston High School. What is it you may be wondering? A wedding.

This year’s French Wedding was put on by the Junior French class and married Chloe McCarthy, the bride, and Tate Menges, the groom. The ceremony featured everything from the traditional “civil ceremony” in the courthouse to the “religious ceremony” that always follows it to an explanation of a traditional French wedding cake – which isn’t even a cake at all! Special shoutout to Elizabeth diTargiani, the civil ceremony officiant; Kailey Frounfelker, the religious ceremony officiant; Ilias Minisci and Megan Watts, the hosts; Sam Nwachukwu and Ryan Murimi, the wedding cake bakers; and everyone else who helped plan a great wedding! And of course, congratulations to the beautiful couple, Chloe and Tate!
