Dunkin and Starbucks drive-throughs were busy with Fallston seniors, as they chose coffee instead of computers last Friday morning. The students celebrated the beginning of senior year on Friday by arriving early to watch the sunrise before school. They enjoyed a filling breakfast and took lots of pictures to capture their last first week of high school.
Senior Sunrise, a new tradition at Fallston High School, is held to celebrate the graduating class’s final year. It’s a chance for the students to bond and ring in their last year as high schoolers. The year will end with a Senior Sunset to symbolize the completion of senior year.
As seniors welcome the school year, they look forward to upcoming events and making more memories at FHS. When asking the class of 2024 what they are most excited for, some popular responses were football games, homecoming, pep rallies, and, of course, prom.
Meghan Perez highlighted that she was especially “looking forward to spirit days and dressing up.” While continuing old traditions, Senior Class Advisor Ms. Jackie Cummings wishes to “create new traditions and plan memorable activities for the senior class.” With homecoming, spirit week, and a pep rally all coming up in the fall, the seniors can look forward to lots of spirted events.
Seeing as it’s our last year together, Ava Lambros hopes the various events will “unite the senior class” before we move on to the next phase of our lives. Intrigued by what’s to come, Rex Brashears is “looking forward to graduation and seeing what everyone else in our class is [going to] pursue.” Graduation in May will finalize the senior class’s journey through Fallston High School. And seniors – I’ll see you at sunset.
