The FHS auditorium transformed into a runway last Wednesday night as Fallston seniors, teachers, and families showed off their walk in local boutiques attire, featuring KGS, Apricot Lane, John’s Men’s Clothing, Tabitha’s House, Boutique 44, Pizazz, and FHS’ very own Crochet and Knitting Club. The night was put together by Fallston’s SGA. President Lindsey Dettloff hosted alongside senior Joey Bolesta as they delivered the comedic relief while the rookie models strut their stuff along all “15 yards of the runway,” as put by Bolesta.
Starting off strong, KGS opened the show with some big personality and original designs. The surf brand displayed their graphic tees and hoodies, branded with their logo.
Next, Apricot Lane showed off the upcoming winter looks, with stylish jeans, sweaters, and puffer jackets. Apricot Lane model, EK Roeder says in order to have fun on the runway you must “focus on fun poses that show off [the] outfit, instead of [your] nerves.”
Next, Fallston’s finest men rocked their looks from John’s Men’s Clothing, pulling off looks from casual hoodies to nice quarter zips. The confidence boomed from their fits as they all showed off their new, sharp looks.
After that, Boutique 44 was bundled up on the runway as they presented their cold weather fits. The models worked their cozy blazers, dresses, and beanies on stage.
These next girls pulled out their inner Macklemore as they showed off their hand-picked looks right off the thrift store rack. Seniors Gabby Curriden, Elizabeth diTargiani, Daniella Militello, Grace Clark, and Laurel Haun all chose looks to model from Tabitha’s House. Daniella left feeling “fulfilled” after modeling clothes for her parents just like she did “when [she] was a little girl.”
Fallston’s talent doesn’t just start on the runway, it happens behind the scenes too. Stevie Bell, Catarina Kruml, and Nate Hawk all modeled designs made by students here at Fallston. As members of the Crochet and Knitting Club at Fallston, they learned how to design and create their own crochet pieces. From sweaters to bags to bowties, they showed off all their skills.
The seniors weren’t the only ones who got to “work it” on stage as FHS teachers and kids also got to show us what they got on the runway. Mr. Mull and his kids won cutest look of the night, when they represented FHS with their very own cougar gear. But Ms. Cummings and her daughter set the runway on fire with their sassy and electric walk.
The last part of the show featured these classy couples getting ready for prom as they twirled in their vibrant dresses and adjusted the ties on their sharp suits, all provided by Pizazz and Bel Air Tuxedo Rentals. The perfect combination to the kings and queens of Fallston High School.
