After a long Monday at Magnolia Middle, the FHS Girls’ Swim team brought home a regional title for the second year in a row!
The meet was originally scheduled for Saturday, February 17th, but due to weather, the meet was rescheduled to Monday, February 19th. However, this did not stop the momentum the team had from winning counties a week prior. They were favored to win the meet and they did just that! For this reason, “regionals was really fun and exciting to win,” according to Sophomore Maddy Burch.
The girls’ team has been preparing for this all season. They have had major success in past years, winning every regular season meet since 2021. They carried that success into this year’s regionals, scoring 292 points.
“It is so exciting. It is nice to see how all the hard work they put it all season is paying off,” said Coach Tara Rebasti.
Fallston had thirteen top-three wins consisting of 2 relays and 6 individual events! Congratulations again to the swim team for their fantastic performance!
