Nicki Minaj, a world-famous rapper and singer from Queens, New York, visited Baltimore on April 2nd as a part of her Pink Friday 2 Tour. This is her third concert tour, and her second world tour. The show was one of few performances she’s had in Baltimore, making it very special to the nearly 15,000 fans that attended.

Nicki Minaj’s newest album, Pink Friday 2, which arrived in 2023, has received 12 Grammy nominations and has broken three Guinness World Records. It went number one in the US Billboard 200, making her the first female rapper to have 3 number one albums. Pink Friday 2 went platinum, selling over 1 million copies within a couple of months.

So with all of the attention from the album, she went on tour. Not even halfway through, many of her shows have sold out, the Pink Friday 2 tour grossing about $22 million dollars as of February of this year. Nicki is performing in 59 shows across 2 continents, starting in California and ending over 5000 miles away from Baltimore in Belgium, Germany.

Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 world tour will go down in history as one of her most successful tours. Her stop in Baltimore will be a fond memory for many, though hopefully this likely won’t be the last visit Nicki has to Baltimore, considering how well the tour and album are turning out for her.
