As a start to all the senior events to come, the class of 2025 arrived at school at 6:15 a.m. this past Friday, September 6, to participate in Senior Sunrise, a breakfast and socialization event to excite seniors for their last year in high school.
Students brought bagels, donuts, munchkins, and other breakfast foods to share as they chatted with their classmates before school began.
When asked how she was feeling about Senior Sunrise, Maddy Warren responded with, “Well, the sunrise is not very prominent, but otherwise it’s pretty good.” Kaitlyn Hughes agreed saying, “It’s more like senior overcast out here.”
Though the sky wasn’t the most cooperative, students still had a good time, “I’d rate [Senior Sunrise] a 10. You know, I get to see all my people, I get to enjoy it while it lasts,” says Jackson Hunsinger.
As for the upcoming year, there are many fun events that seniors have the opportunity to be a part of. Charlie Hobson is most excited for prom because he “gets to dress up,” and Jackson Hunsinger is looking forward to graduation, saying he “is ready to move on to bigger and better things.”
Most other seniors agree that prom and graduation are the most thrilling events of the year, but Jack Chilcoat is looking forward to athletics. “This last year of sports should be fun,” Jack says, “Football, swim team, maybe track.”
Senior Sunrise was a great kick off to many other senior events to come. Seniors, consistently check your email for more updates and events throughout the school year.
