Break up letter

Nathaniel Hawk, Staff Reporter

Dear Fallston,

It’s not you. It’s me. It’s been fun, but after the better part of a decade, I feel it’s time for us to part ways. I need space; I love you, I’m just not in love with you. While I’ll miss your fantastic internet connection and IT department, I just need to work on myself. We’re both looking for different things.

2020 was a good year for us. We spent almost every waking moment together, but at the same time, it brought out the worst in both of us. I failed constantly and you couldn’t even get yourself put together. You didn’t seem to understand my problems, and I couldn’t understand how much more you needed from me.

Then the year after that, you started moving away from me. Going more “traditional.” What does that even mean?! Were you cheating on me with Paper Mate? Then this new person “Canvas” shows up, and you start getting all friendly with them! Did you ever love me?!

I’m a Norwegian website, and you’re an American school. You deserve someone better than me. You’re going to make some lucky website really happy someday; it’s just not meant to be me. Maybe we can stay friends?

Your Friend,
