TikTok sensation Addison Rae has embarked on her first tour following the release of her debut album, Addison. Dropping the infamous Rae from her name, Addison’s tour is a complete 360 from her TikTok persona. Earlier in the year, Addison performed at Coachella with Arca and announced the date her album would be released on her hot pink underwear. Since then, we knew she was someone we would want to keep our eyes on.
On September 30, 2025, Addison performed at the Anthem concert hall in Washington D.C. One of our first qualms with the show was not about her performance, but about when the performance started. Originally starting at 8:00 p.m., ticket buyers had gotten an email from the Anthem that it wouldn’t start until 8:30 p.m., she wasn’t on stage until close to 9:00 p.m. Waiting hours in line and hours inside put a damper on the evening, but when the lights went down and the first song started playing, all was well.
Addison started the show with one of our favorite songs, “Fame is a Gun,” while wearing a pink maid costume that was later ripped off to reveal a custom latex set. Accompanying her were four dancers that never missed a beat and who had palpable camaraderie.
Something that stood out to us throughout the show was how Addison did an amazing job working with what she had. She didn’t have the most glamorous sets but was able to be innovative with how she used them. The simplicity of the stage worked in her favor because we couldn’t take our eyes off her. She commanded all the attention in the room and had unmatched confidence.
Alongside her ability to confidently command the stage, she also took advantage of the lights and confetti cannons for beautiful visuals. During her hit song “Money is Everything,” paper “Addison currency” flew across the pit, which not only added to the show’s aesthetics, but also the aesthetics of every fan’s room who was able to grab one as a souvenir.
Another spectacular aspect of her performance was the extensive choreography, which is something a lot of singers do not do. She is known to have a have a background in dance, so even though this part of the show is not surprising, it is still amazing to watch. Our favorite dance was during the song “Aquamarine,” where Addison and her background dancers put on a show-stopping performance.
Lastly, Addison closed the show with her chart-topping song, “Diet Pepsi,” while wearing a fluffy, white tutu. This song, being the one to launch Addison’s music career, was one of the best of the night. Everyone in the venue knew the song and was screaming their hearts out to it, including us. It was apparent that everyone there was real fans and excited to see this young, up and coming artist put on an amazing performance.
Overall, we would recommend going to an Addison Rae concert if you like her music because she puts on a killer performance, has amazing customs, and an admirable drive to master her craft. As a growing artist, we can only wonder what her future shows will be like with her first tour being this show-stopping. If you have enjoyed shows like Charli XCX’s for dance music or shows like Tate McRae’s for choreography, you will love to see this one.
