Red (Taylor’s Version) has the best vault tracks

With the re-recordings of Taylor Swift’s albums comes songs from ‘the vault.’ Yes, there are good ‘vault’ songs on each album, but honestly, Red has the best. It contains absolute bangers like “Message in a Bottle,” “I Bet You Think About Me,” and “Babe.”  Red also has songs that make me want to violently sob because of how emotional they are, such as “Nothing New (featuring Phoebe Bridgers),” “All Too Well (10-minute version),” and “Better Man.”

The emotional miracle that Red is makes it an obvious number one for having the best vault tracks. Taylor Swift’s music is so lyrically powerful that she has to be considered one of the best lyricists of all time (she’s more of a lyrical genius than Kanye West, but that’s a topic for a different time).

Stanleys are overrated

With there being an increase in the amount of Stanley cups being purchased, by mainly teenage girls, I thought I, as a teenage girl, should give my unsolicited opinion on them.

According to the Stanley website, you can buy one of their 40-oz water bottles for $45. But many of the users spent $60+ on the 64-oz bottle (and only ended up drinking half of what they put in said water bottle). Why waste your money on a Stanley if you aren’t going to use it to its full potential? Time is money and I’m not wasting my precious time on this overpriced water bottle.

For the price as well as the function, Stanley cups are just not worth it. I could get something at Target cheaper and just as nice. As well as them being overpriced, they’re absolutely huge. There is no reason you need a cup that is twice the size of your head. Not to mention, they’re so loud when people drop them. Seriously, please stop dropping them. Just use the massive handle (that is too big to even be useful).

All in all, not worth the hype.

The FHS orange chicken isn’t good

The FHS student body is very divided on this topic, but I’m right. The orange chicken isn’t good. The rice is usually dry, and the chicken is not enough in ratio to the rice. The chicken either has too much sauce, or the opposite where there’s not enough, in addition to the chicken being too crunchy.  The flavor of the sauce is good when it’s just right, but that being said, it’s too inconsistent. I would consider it good if the ratio of rice and chicken was better, along with the flavor itself. “Maybe you’re just grabbing the wrong servings.” Thank you, Hypothetical Person, that’s exactly what I’m talking about. The sauce and flavors should be consistent with all servings, not just the certain packages at certain lunch times.

The orange chicken is too inconsistent for me to consider it good. That being said, do I buy it every Wednesday when it’s being sold? Yes.

Walmart isn’t as bad as people make it

I am an active Walmart patron, and I have no shame. Let’s be honest here; Walmart is not bad quality. Everyone knows that Walmart is cheap, but they also tend to have the same brands that you’d get anywhere else. The only difference is that it’s cheaper than what you’d pay anywhere else. I admit, I actively purchase the same mascaras from Walmart for cheaper than any makeup stores. They also have pretty good quality products as well. Not just makeup, but most products are not bad quality. I’m thinking it, and so are you.

I am a firm believer that Walmart is only hated because it’s seen as the “poor Target,” and I refuse to stand for it. Most of the hate is unnecessary and needs to stop. Walmart is not that bad. Stop hating it.
