At Fallston High School, more students are recognizing their talents and stepping into a world of entrepreneurship. Many students are transforming their personal interests and talents into their own businesses. Let’s take a closer look at some students whose dedication has led them to be successful outside of our school.
Banners by London
Senior London Baldwin has turned her love for creativity into a growing custom‑banner business, designing personalized decorations for all kinds of events. “I love being creative, and making custom banners was a way to bring unique ideas to life for people’s special occasions,” she explains. Although her business is still fairly new, London has created quite a few banners for clients. Her favorite banner so far is her Homecoming 2025 banner. “I think the banner added to the event and was a nice touch in everyone’s photos,” she explains. She loves to add a smile to people’s faces when she can add a customized piece of decor for their events. She loves to help make memories last.

Flicks by JP – Joseph Mullen
Joseph Mullen launched his sports media business based on his love for sports and his journalistic talent. “I wanted to start my sports media business because ever since childhood I have loved sports, of any kind,” Joseph tells The Print. After spending part of his childhood in Europe, where he became obsessed with soccer, his interests shifted toward football and basketball when he returned to the United States. He began filming pickup basketball games with neighborhood friends and then his “passion for creative work grew exponentially with time and [he] became obsessed with photography and videography trying to get as good as possible.” Joseph now plans to continue expanding his business in college by majoring in Visual Communications or Creative Media and minoring in marketing, hoping to build connections and potentially intern with an SEC athletics creative team. His accomplishments already include hundreds of thousands of views across social media – some of which you may have seen. He has consistent work with the Maryland Lacrosse League covering major events like Deep Creek Lax and the Ocean City Lax Classic, and freelance contracting for Fivestar Video, which has led him to shoot for organizations such as True Lacrosse, Aloha Tournaments, NXT Lacrosse, and Gulf Coast Lacrosse. His work has even been reposted by NFL player Keyon Martin, and he recently filmed one of club lacrosse’s biggest events, the Naptown National Challenge.

Nails by Devyn
Devyn Snyder, a senior at Fallston, has used her talents in art to start a successful nail business. “I always had a passion for any kind of art, nail art being one of them,” she says. What started as doing her own nails for fun quickly grew into something more once people began complimenting her work. Now, she enjoys offering affordable nail services to friends and loves “getting to make them happy” with each set she creates. Even though Devyn doesn’t plan on attending cosmetology school, as she hopes to pursue criminology, she still sees nail art as something she’ll carry with her. “I still think it would be really fun to get a cosmetology license down the road,” she explains. She even plans to keep doing nails in college for roommates and anyone else who wants a fresh set. Her business has helped to expand her talents and get more recognition. “My biggest accomplishment with my business would just be having fun and putting a smile on people’s faces. I love doing art and getting to know the other person if I don’t already. I’m glad people can trust me to make their nails look good,” she tells The Print.
