With winter break looming over all of Fallston High School, there is one thing that everyone is looking forward to: The 1st annual student-teacher volleyball game. Occurring on December 23, 2022, Fallston will say goodbye to the year 2022 with the ultimate student-teacher showdown. With 5 teams, one for each grade and the teacher team, Fallston is split on who they will be rooting for.

Fallston’s principal Mr. Collins says that the teacher team “will dominate.” However, senior Jack Price, the junior team’s captain, says that he’s “never been more confident in [his] entire life.”

With practices being completely optional, teams have been responsible for practicing however much they think they need to. Senior Katherine King, coach of the freshman team, is “confident that [they] can handle playing with only a single practice.” Likewise, Jack Price states that his team “[hasn’t] practiced at all but [they] don’t even need it because [they’re] that good.”

Mr. Grant, another member of the teacher team, confesses that they have not practiced at all; however, he has been ‘preparing’ in his own way. “I did eat 3 klondike bars the other night and last night I crushed a peppermint chip milkshake at Chick-Fil-A so I feel like my preparation is going well,” he stated.

Additionally, Ms. Chatterton states that the teachers “are feeling pretty good about [their] chances against all four grades.” However, the freshman team’s coach Jayden Dillard says that “the teachers better watch out because [they] are coming in hot.”

But no matter what, students and staff alike agree that this may be the beginning of Fallston’s own Civil War. My guesses? I say the juniors will take it home. However, you’ll have to be there to see for yourself who in fact is the best.
