Anyone who has had Mr. Grant as a teacher will tell you the same thing: he is a great storyteller. With his extensive knowledge and passion accompanied by his dry sense of humor, Mr. Grant can make any story interesting and keeps his audience hanging on until the end. I myself have been caught laughing to the point of tears at his stories in the middle of class, so maybe I am biased. Nonetheless, no one can argue that Mr. Grant is not passionate and knowledgeable.  

Mr. Grant’s infamous Thanksgiving episode “A Very Grant Thanksgiving” was originally released on November 22, 2021. In this edition, Mr. Grant tells stories of his own Thanksgiving memories, shares some historical football knowledge, and along the way, gets you excited for the Thanksgiving season. 

Starting by telling a story of his own family oddity, Mr. Grant once again makes me burst out laughing with his deadpan punchlines and unbelievable narrative. Something about his tone makes this tale downright hilarious.  

He then transitions into football by explaining some personal football traditions of his as well as explaining the history of the Lions and Cowboys as annual NFL hosts on Thanksgiving Day. While I wouldn’t have thought to look for the reason, I was captivated by the story of how this tradition came to be. Mr. Grant is very well informed, and it shows as the history is captured articulately and accurately. 

Mr. Grant’s passion for football and disdain for the Dallas Cowboys makes this one of my favorite episodes. I highly recommend this episode along with the rest of his show, whether you have Mr. Grant as a teacher or not. He shares the history of many different topics throughout his episodes, so there is something interesting for everyone. I hope you love this episode and I hope you listen to the rest of them.
